I do include a mix of hard links and affiliate links to various merchants, including tour booking websites, hotel booking websites, and the like.

If and when a link is an affiliate link and one that would earn me a commission were you to book an experience through it, I make that clear with a little superscript symbol - “ª”.

I genuinely encourage you to book directly with hotels and tour operators when possible, even though many of these merchants do not offer affiliate programs through their own websites; affiliate program links usually mean booking through a third party website (albeit a reliable one such as Viator, TripAdvisor, or Booking.com) and I tend to prefer booking directly with the merchant myself, quite frankly! I think it’s great when we can maximize how much of what we pay for an experience or hotel goes directly to the merchant or vendor, especially when that merchant or vendor is an independent tour operator or hotel owner/operator.
